MJA Support Petition

We the undersigned encourage and support the passage of any tax reform measure that will create jobs in Missouri that incorporates the following features:

Your name and address are required to ensure that your representative and senator can be identified

  1. Eliminates the state income tax
  2. Replaces the state income tax with a consumer driven sales tax not to exceed 7%
  3. Maintains revenue neutrality to the greatest extent possible
  4. Either requires or provides the option to other political subdivisions to lower their sales tax rate by adopting a broader sales tax base
  5. Requires the legislature to provide for a rebate to be determined by the legislature
  6. Eliminates hidden taxes
  7. Only contains exemptions that are absolutely necessary and makes it difficult for new exemptions to be added later

We believe that passage of a tax reform measure that meets or exceed these requirements will make Missouri the economic engine of the Midwest.
